LRC Book Critic Review - Being Miss Nobody – by Tamsin Winter

Being Miss Nobody – by Tamsin Winter

This book is about Rosalind, she has trouble speaking to anyone other than her mum, dad, Seb and her neighbour. She is constantly bullied and on top of that she has to cope with her brother having Cancer and the inevitable day that he might die.

Seb and Rosalind work together on a blog, it is a way to speak out about the bullies in her school while being able to be anonymous.

She’s known as ‘Miss Nobody’ but this platform leads to her using it for the wrong reasons.

Seb is really positive and happy even though he might die, Rosalind is the opposite – she is afraid and frustrated because she is ‘mute’ at school.

It was really heart-warming when Seb gave up his wish of going to Egypt in hope that Rosalind can voice her opinion whenever she wanted.

My favourite character is Seb because he is really encouraging and nice to Rosalind even though he was slowly dying.

This book is available from the LRC.
