Book Review - Over the Line by Tom Palmer
I really enjoyed this book as it was really
interesting and gave a lot of facts about WW1 that you would not learn about
through boring facts.
This book was about a boy that loved playing
football but protestors made him want to join the army. Over a period of time he learns that there is
another part of his country where people are fighting and killing whilst he is
trying to accomplish his dream.
However
people persuade him to join the army as his country needs him.
At first, he thought that he was going to be fine
as his friends were by his side but then he learns that it is not that easy. He
went from cleaning rifles and making food to actually being in a trench. Tom goes through a roller coaster of emotions
in the book.
This book was different to me as I have never read
a book like this before. I usually read mystery books written by Anthony
Horrowitz. I would definitely recommend
this to someone as this book was really interesting and had a lot of facts.
I really enjoyed this book and rated it 5/5.
